If you're not sure where to start when creating a marketing strategy, it's best to keep a few things in mind:

  • Set goals - clearly define the goals that you want to reach and when you want to reach them. It's not enough to say "I want more traffic" when you're planning your marketing strategy and tactics. How much traffic, from where and by when? Be specific.
  • Clearly define your audience - to whom are you trying to sell? What do they do for a living, how much moeny do they make, what challenges are they facing, how can you help solve them and where do they hang out online? If you don't know the answers to these questions, how do you expect to tailor your marketing tactics to speak to that audience?
  • Know your baseline - make sure you know how your current marketing campaigns and tactics are performing so you can measure progress and results. How much traffic are you currently getting, where are your current leads coming from and which of your current marketing tactics are performing the best or worst?

If you're not sure how to go about finding this information or more clearly defining it, take a step back and really nail these before you try to create a marketing strategy. Not sure how to do that? Contact us and we can help.
